General information:
Jantar is a village and seaside holiday resort situated on the southern side of the wooded coastal sand dunes. There is a beaching place for fishing boats. Jantar is located on the ancient amber trail, known from 1283. From the 13th century in the state of the Teutonic Knights and from the second halt of the 14th century in he Gdańsk district. There are two mediaeval inns in the village. Worth seeing in Jantar is a lovely beach called Amber Beach because of the large quantities of amber found there after each sea storm.
The beach fishing harbour is 100m long, connected with the village by road. On the beach fishing facilities include shields for supplies and for fish storage.
