Balt-Military-Expo has been organised since 1998. Its 13th edition will take place in 2014.
BME focuses on the military issues of naval defence and security, on the defence and security of sea borders and on sea and land rescue. The event is dedicated to the Polish Navy, Special Operations Command, Military Gendarmerie, Inspectorate for Armed Forces Support, Border Guard, Police and the State Fire Service.
BALT-MILITARY-EXPO also plays a significant role as a meeting platform for the exchange of opinion between defence technology providers and its users: the executive staff and officer corps of the Polish Armed Forces and the services subject to Poland’s Ministry of Interior.
BME is accompanied by the NATCON International Naval Technology Conference on Naval Technologies for Defence and Security, which addresses the development and design of state-of-the-art naval command and weaponry systems dedicated to warships and the tasks of maritime safety, security and rescue.
BME is organised in partnership with the Polish Armed Forces, the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the services subject to the Ministry of Interior and the Polish Chamber of National Defence Manufacturers.
Balt Military Expo has an established international standing.
Over the years, its exhibitors have included the world’s leading national and international defence industry corporations. Every year BME is visited by international official ministry-level delegations, a delegation of the military attachés accredited in Poland and by a large contingent of guests from abroad, who represent both militaries and arms producers. BME’s guests have included Poland’s Ministers of National Defence, Commanders-in-Chief of the Polish Navy, Ministry of National Defence department directors, officers of the General Staff, representatives of the Ministry of Interior, the BBN Bureau of National Security, the Border Guard HQ, the Police HQ and the State Fire Service HQ.
The 13th BALT - MILITARY – EXPO Baltic Military Fair will be held June 24-26, 2014.
As in the previous years, the event will have an extensive programme of side events, with conferences, presentations and seminars, coupled with water- and land-based demonstrations by the Polish Army’s special units, counter-terrorist teams and rescue services.
